September 26, 2025 – The Amsterdam Institute is proud to present its inaugural activities report for 2025, a year marked by significant global expansion and the successful launch of pioneering academic programs. As a global school with established physical campuses in Mexico City, Madrid, and Amsterdam, and with imminent openings in Bogotá and Lima, the Institute has solidified its commitment to providing cutting-edge education at the intersection of law, technology, and business.
2025: A Year of Foundational Growth and Strategic Alliances
This year, The Amsterdam Institute has focused on establishing its unique educational model across continents. A cornerstone of our 2025 activities has been the strengthening of our academic offerings and the forging of key strategic partnerships to enhance the educational opportunities for our community.
A pivotal development has been the formalization of the INDEPAC - USAL alliance. This collaboration significantly broadens the educational horizons for our academic faculty, providing access to prestigious institutions such as the Universidad de Salamanca and the Instituto Nacional de Estudios en Derecho Penal. This alliance extends to universities in Florida, USA, offering a truly international framework for legal and academic exchange.
In our commitment to innovative curriculum, 2025 saw the successful launch of our first cohorts in two groundbreaking programs:
Official Degree in Law + Digital Business (Mexico): In partnership with the Instituto Nacional de Estudios en Derecho Penal, this official title in Mexico is designed to equip a new generation of legal professionals with the business and digital acumen required in the modern economy. The inaugural class has demonstrated exceptional engagement with the interdisciplinary curriculum.
Proprietary Degree in AI Law (Madrid): Our Madrid campus has welcomed the first students to the AI Law program. This proprietary degree, a first of its kind, delves into the complex legal and ethical challenges posed by artificial intelligence, preparing graduates to be leaders in this emerging field.
2026 Roadmap: Deepening Impact and Expanding Reach
Building on the successes of 2025, The Amsterdam Institute has an ambitious roadmap for 2026, focused on program consolidation, geographic expansion, and the enrichment of our global academic community.
Q1 2026: Inauguration of Latin American Hubs The first quarter will be marked by the official opening of our new campuses in Bogotá, Colombia, and Lima, Peru. These locations will serve as key hubs for our educational activities in Latin America, offering our full suite of programs and fostering local academic partnerships.
Q2 2026: Expansion of Program Offerings The second quarter will see the introduction of new specialized tracks within our existing programs. For the Law + Digital Business degree, we will be introducing specializations in Fintech Law and E-commerce Regulation. The AI Law program will see the addition of a new module on AI and intellectual property, developed in collaboration with leading tech firms.
Q3 2026: Strengthening Transatlantic Alliances We will deepen our collaboration with our partner universities in the United States. A key initiative will be the launch of a faculty exchange program and the development of joint research projects focusing on comparative digital law. The INDEPAC - USAL alliance will see the co-hosting of an international conference on "The Future of Legal Education" at the Universidad de Salamanca.
Q4 2026: Graduation of Inaugural Cohorts and Global Symposium The year will culminate with the graduation of our first cohorts from the Law + Digital Business program in Mexico and the AI Law program in Madrid. To celebrate this milestone, The Amsterdam Institute will host a Global Symposium on Law and Technology in Amsterdam, bringing together students, faculty, and industry leaders from all our campus locations to foster a vibrant international network of legal and tech innovators.
The Amsterdam Institute is confident that the strategic initiatives outlined in this report and roadmap will continue to position us as a leader in global education, preparing our students to navigate and shape the legal landscapes of the future.
